The Parent Trap (1998)
potatoislike asked: What did you like about 1984?
the sardonic inner thoughts of Winston really added a sense of realism that a lot of books now a days find hard to achieve. you knew it was going to end badly from the start but the build up to Winstons and Julias happiness really made you think it was going to be OK, then Orwell just turned everything upside down and made you feel stupid for even thinking it would turn out alright. you identify with the characters because you really wanted them to succeed in their vain attempt at escape and happiness. there’s a lot more that I liked, but that was the main reason why it’s my favorite book
